Foundational Stage (Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Prep, Grade-1, & Grade-2)

The Exploratory Years The Foundational Stage is consisting of five years of flexible, multilevel, play/activity-based learning and the curriculum and pedagogy of ECCE We believe young children are strong and powerful, filled with ideas and theories about the world. They are learners with developing communication skills who use their desire and natural curiosity to inquire and learn about the world in which they live. When children come to school, they become part of a community of learners. Each child is able to contribute to this community in his and her own unique way. Our curriculum and teachers’ interactions are responsive to individual differences in ability and interest.

Preparatory Stage (Grades 3 to 5)

The Independent and Challenging Years The Preparatory Stage will comprise three years of education building on the play, discovery, and activity-based pedagogical and curricular style of the Foundational Stage. The classroom of the “Independence and Challenge Years’ is a lively place characterized by collaborative and purposeful activity. Opportunities are created to broaden the scope of learning experiences in a way that build on the natural curiosity of students and enhance their motivation and excitement about learning. Seeking answers to questions, planning investigations, exploring ideas using equipment and resources and working with others are readily identifiable features. There are increasing opportunities for students to become more actively involved and engaged in planning and assessing their own learning.

Middle Stage (Grade 6 to 8)

Expanding the Horizons The transition phase from childhood towards life as a young adult demands a special programme, and our curriculum at this stage addresses students in their varied levels of emotional/ physical and intellectual development. The Middle Stage will comprise three years of education, building on the pedagogical and curricular style of the Preparatory Stage Subjects are integrated to create a meaningful experience for the students by providing rigorous training for a successful future. The curriculum enables students to create a link between topics, themselves and the ‘real world’. Included in developing this understanding is the facility to experience and grow in leadership.

Secondary stage (Grade 9 TO 12)

The Secondary Stage will comprise of four years of multidisciplinary study, building on the subject-oriented pedagogical and curricular style of the Middle Stage, but with greater depth, greater critical thinking, greater attention to life aspirations, and greater flexibility and student choice of subjects It also offers a means of tracking student progress through the lower secondary phase, with an integrated package of teaching, learning and assessment materials.
